ZOMBIELAND ESPORTS TOURNAMENT PREMIERES AT SXSW GAMING AWARDS IN AFFILIATION WITH VR MASTER LEAGUE
Zombieland VR: Headshot Fever, launching on Oculus Quest March 25th, attracts influencers to inaugural competition
Los Angeles — Mar. 20, 2021 — Broadcast live during tonight’s SXSW Gaming Awards, produced by IGN, professional esports commentator Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez hosted online content creators Cerberusarms, Naysy, ProjectJamesify, and Dan Ryckert (formerly of Giant Bomb) who battled it out to become the first ever Zombieland Invitational champion.
XR Games also announced a partnership with the VR Master League (VRML) to organise the Zombieland Invitational esports events this year. And confirmed that the game will release for Oculus Quest on Thursday March 25th 2021.

Zombieland VR presents a new zombie killing racing sport that combines classic lightgun play from House of the Dead with the obsessive time-chasing of Trackmania. Fast and focussed courses with high skill play make Zombieland VR fiercely addictive and highly watchable.
The influencers Cerberusarms, ProjectJamesify, Naysy, and Dan Ryckert battled it out to see who would achieve the fastest time in a knockout speedrun tournament. ProjectJamesify pulled ahead of Cerberusarms in tightly fought competition becoming the defending Zombieland Invitational champion.

This was followed by the official announcement that XR Games, in collaboration with VR Master League (VRML), will be running a series of official Zombieland Invitational esports events in 2021 which is open to all sharpshooters.
